Homeownership for Veterans
A Salute to Our Veterans: Your Homeownership Journey
Dedicated Support for Those Who've Served
Throughout my life, I’ve been privileged to know and be inspired by remarkable men and women who have served our country with bravery and distinction. Their stories of courage fill me with immense gratitude. At the close of this message, I’ll share a tribute to some of the extraordinary veterans who have touched my life.
To all veterans, thank you. Your service has safeguarded our freedoms and blessed our nation. It’s my honor and duty to support you and your families in finding a home, a small but heartfelt gesture of my appreciation for your sacrifices.
A Tribute to Valor and Service
The VA home loan, established in 1944 under President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s signature on the GI Bill, was designed as a thank you to veterans and their families, aiding them in homeownership post-World War II. This initiative has since enabled millions to achieve the American dream of owning a home, offering significant benefits like no down payment requirements and no mortgage insurance for those who qualify. The VA Funding Fee, a part of this loan for those not exempt due to disability, further facilitates this process without the financial burden often associated with home buying.
While the Veterans Administration does not directly issue these loans, as a mortgage lender, it’s my privilege to guide you through obtaining a VA loan, ensuring you’re supported every step of the way.
A Personal Note of Gratitude
I’d like to express my deepest thanks to the veterans in my own circle, including:
- My cousin Bobby, whose service spanned 20 years across critical regions, leaving me with cherished mementos and a profound respect for his dedication.
- My brothers, Michael, Mitch, and Marvin, each of whom brought unique contributions to their branches, from daring rescues to technical expertise.
- My father, who instilled in us the values and discipline he learned in the Navy.
- Uncle Bob and Uncle Chuck, whose Army careers were marked by honor and sacrifice.
- And to Pat, Jeff, Dan, Bryan, Jack, Thomas, Garrett, Roger, Dana, Terry, Joey, Matt and many more friends who served, your stories of courage continue to inspire me daily.
To each of you, and to all who have served, my heartfelt thanks. It’s more than just finding you a home; it’s about providing a service that respects and honors your commitment to our country.
